Central hub showing blood availability, donor stats, and urgent requests in real-time with live counters.

Why RedHope Exists

The gap between blood supply and demand costs lives. RedHope closes that gap with technology.

The Problem

  • Hospital staff manually call contacts when blood is urgently needed
  • No centralized database — blood availability unknown across hospitals
  • Donors unaware of nearby urgent needs or their own eligibility
  • Critical delays in emergencies cost lives every day
  • No digital trail for donation history or safety verification

RedHope Solution

  • Automated instant alerts to all eligible donors in the area
  • Centralized real-time blood inventory across all hospitals
  • Smart eligibility checks based on history & medical records
  • Sub-second matching between requests and available donors
  • Complete Spring Security-protected audit trail
Core Features

What Makes RedHope Powerful

Every feature is engineered to reduce emergency response time and make blood donation seamless.

Real-Time Donor Matching

Smart algorithm connects emergency blood requests with compatible donors instantly — based on blood type, location radius, and current availability.

JWT Auth & Spring Security

Military-grade security using JWT stateless tokens, BCrypt password hashing, CSRF protection, and fine-grained Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Emergency Alert Broadcast

Critical push notification system that broadcasts urgent requests to all eligible donors in configurable radius — reducing response time to under 2 minutes.

Smart Inventory Management

Tracks blood group availability across multiple hospitals with expiry date monitoring, low-stock alerts, and inter-hospital transfer coordination.

Geo-Location Integration

Haversine formula-based proximity queries to find nearest available blood banks and donors — geospatial efficiency for life-critical situations.

Health Analytics Dashboard

Comprehensive analytics for admins showing donation trends, blood group demand heatmaps, donor engagement rates, and system-wide health metrics.

RESTful API Architecture

Clean, well-documented REST APIs with proper HTTP status codes, request validation, pagination, and Swagger/OpenAPI auto-generated docs.

Donor Eligibility Engine

Automatically enforces 90-day donation cooldown, medical eligibility rules, and maintains a complete verifiable donation history for each donor.

Role-Based Access Control

4-Tier RBAC System

Each user type has precisely scoped permissions enforced at the Spring Security filter chain level.
